Senior Revenue Accountant (SaaS)

Location: Sandy, Utah, USA; hybrid with two days per week in the office

What you will do

• Support revenue accounting under ASC 606, including contract reviews, performance obligations, transaction price assessments, and revenue allocation and recognition.
• Review contracts, amendments, renewals, and nonstandard terms with Sales, Deal Desk, Legal, FP&A, and Order Management.
• Manage monthly and quarterly revenue close activities, journal entries, reconciliations, deferred revenue, contract assets, and contract liabilities.
• Own the revenue subledger and maintain alignment between operational systems, billing platforms, and the general ledger.
• Support SOX 404 controls, external audits, technical accounting documentation, public filing disclosures, and revenue forecasting.
• Improve revenue accounting systems, integrations, automation, scalability, data integrity, and internal controls while mentoring junior or offshore accountants.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including SaaS revenue accounting in a multi-entity, multi-region environment.
• BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience with public companies or Big 4 accounting firms.
• Hands-on experience with Workday Financials or a comparable cloud ERP, with the ability to learn Workday.
• Intermediate Excel skills and experience extracting, reconciling, and analyzing data across multiple systems.
• Strong communication, financial analysis, organization, attention to detail, and stakeholder-influence skills.
