What you will do
- Serve as an initial point of contact for internal and external IT support requests by phone and email.
- Troubleshoot and repair software, hardware, telecommunications, video surveillance, and video conferencing equipment.
- Prioritize requests, communicate status, update help desk tickets, and document issues and processes.
- Inventory, configure, install, maintain, repair, upgrade, secure, and dispose of computing devices.
- Perform limited network and server administration, including password resets, account unlocking, file permissions, server updates, configuration, and maintenance.
- Assist with Wi-Fi, surveillance, server, networking, and telephone system upgrade projects, escalating complex issues when needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Junior- or senior-level student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, technology, science, or a related field.
- Understanding of client/server and web architectures, object-oriented technologies, and internet applications.
- Working knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies and Windows operating systems.
- Strong communication, organization, time management, problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new programs.
