Lead LAN/WAN Engineer

Location: Reston, Virginia, United States; Washington, District of Columbia, United States. US citizenship is required, along with an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance and the ability to obtain a CI polygraph.

Salary: $160,000–$172,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Lead local- and wide-area networking initiatives and provide expert guidance to other engineers.
• Provide technical direction, interpretation, and alternatives on existing and new network services.
• Design, analyze, research, integrate, and operate solutions for complex networking problems.
• Advise engineers, team leads, project teams, and customer stakeholders on requirements and technical direction.
• Evaluate emerging networking technologies, integrations, and capabilities.
• Apply deep expertise in BGP, OSPF, GRE, pseudowire, VPN, L2TP, spine-and-leaf architectures, and BGP peering.

Requirements

• US citizenship required.
• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance required, with ability to obtain a CI polygraph.
• High school diploma/GED plus 11 years of experience, associate degree plus 9 years, bachelor's degree plus 7 years, master's degree plus 5 years, or PhD plus 3 years.
• IAT II certification or an industry equivalent.
• CCNP or CCIE certification, or an industry equivalent.
• Experience with information systems architecture, telecommunications systems design, implementation, integration, and communications and network systems management.
