CNC Vertical Boring Machinist (Gas Turbine Compressor)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; onsite, Friday–Sunday, 5:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

What you will do

• Set up and operate CNC vertical boring mills, including tooling installation and machine parameter setup.
• Read blueprints, manufacturing drawings, work instructions, tooling sheets, and machining programs.
• Perform precision machining and in-process inspections using measuring instruments.
• Adjust tooling offsets and machine settings to maintain required tolerances and quality standards.
• Load, secure, position, and unload workpieces using cranes, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment.
• Complete production records, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot minor machine issues, and adapt to changing production demands.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of experience operating CNC machining equipment, preferably vertical boring mills or similar large machining centers.
• Ability to interpret complex blueprints, specifications, charts, and technical drawings and apply shop mathematics and precision measurement techniques.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required hirify.global equipment certifications, including forklift and crane operation.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Nice to have

• Completion of a three-year applied trades program, apprenticeship, or equivalent technical training in machining or manufacturing.
