Engagement & Community Manager

Location: Westmont, Illinois or downtown Chicago, with frequent weekday travel of up to 50% to project communities. Employment requires verification of authorization to work in the U.S.

Salary: $75,000–$88,000 per year, with possible additional commission and/or incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Design and implement Mission Critical team member experience plans across project sites.
• Coordinate inclusive site-wide events, cultural moments, wellness activities, and recognition initiatives.
• Lead community outreach, giving-back programs, volunteer activities, and charitable campaigns focused on shelter, wellness, and education.
• Build and manage partnerships with nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, community leaders, clients, and project stakeholders.
• Represent Ryan at community events, industry gatherings, volunteer activities, and stakeholder meetings.
• Track participation, measure outcomes, and report program impact to support future planning and decision-making.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in employee engagement, event planning, program coordination, or culture-focused roles.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work across roles and cultural backgrounds and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Passion for workplace culture, wellbeing, sustainability, and social impact.
• Proficiency with communication platforms, Microsoft Office, and basic design or marketing tools.
• Ability to work in the U.S. must be verified.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale commercial or industrial construction projects.
• Familiarity with DEI, sustainability, or corporate social responsibility initiatives.
• Bilingual or multilingual communication skills, especially Spanish.
