TL;DR
Event Community Specialist Contractor (Events and Community Engagement): Planning and delivering internal and external events across Austin and the United States, while managing TEL FOR GOOD community engagement activities with an accent on budgets, vendors, timelines, and stakeholder coordination. Focus on organizing concurrent events, supervising volunteer and donation programs, measuring engagement ROI, and maintaining the Benevity platform.
Location: Hybrid role based in the downtown Austin office, with at least 3 days per week onsite; 10–15% domestic U.S. travel required.

What you will do
- Plan and organize internal and external events, including tradeshows, conferences, award ceremonies, dinners, and management meetings.
- Create and control event budgets, manage vendors and suppliers, and coordinate contracts, payments, catering, procurement, and marketing materials.
- Build event timelines, execute plans, provide event data and reports, and communicate progress with event owners, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and manage the U.S. community engagement calendar and drive awareness and volunteer participation.
- Supervise the community engagement budget, measure relationship ROI, and coordinate with Corporate Sustainability and Communications teams.
- Administer the Benevity TEL FOR GOOD platform and organize committee meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in marketing coordination, event planning, community engagement, or a similar role.
- Proven experience in conference and event marketing.
- Strong organizational, project management, communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and marketing software or tools; familiarity with Monday.com or similar program management tools.
- Experience with budget management and vendor negotiations, financial acumen, and ability to occasionally lift or move up to 30 pounds.
