Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack (Python/React)

Location: Cambridge, United Kingdom; hybrid work with office attendance generally required Monday through Thursday. Fridays are generally flexible for remote work, and collaboration spans European and US timezones.

What you will do

• Design and build full-stack web applications supporting end-to-end automation and test infrastructure.
• Develop APIs, microservices, and highly available frontend and backend systems for software quality workflows.
• Integrate AI capabilities, including LLM-driven experiences, skills, agents, MCP servers, and RAG pipelines.
• Deploy, scale, and monitor containerized cloud services on AWS using Kubernetes.
• Architect technical solutions, document requirements and constraints, and improve production performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, participate in code reviews, and mentor less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of full-stack engineering experience with production web applications and backend services.
• Strong Python programming skills and experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Frontend development experience with TypeScript or JavaScript, Next.js, React, and MUI.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, REST APIs, test-driven development, CI/CD, Jenkins, or GitLab.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, containerized infrastructure, message queues such as RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka, and authentication approaches including OpenID and SAML.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, independent working, cross-functional collaboration, and technical troubleshooting skills, plus a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
