What you will do

• Design, develop, and trial prototype and production tooling for new products and improvements to existing products.
• Specify system components and direct product modifications to ensure plastic containers meet engineering design and performance specifications.
• Research, design, evaluate, and oversee the installation of mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes.
• Investigate material, equipment, and process failures and recommend solutions to eliminate defects and malfunctions.
• Conduct feasibility and performance research on plastic materials, processing equipment, components, and systems.
• Design test-control equipment, develop product testing procedures, provide technical support, and coordinate employee problem-solving teams.

Requirements

• Preferred bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• Experience or ability to use computer-aided design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Pro/ENGINEER.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Creative thinking, teamwork, strong ownership of safety, and willingness to work hands-on to complete tasks and projects.
