Process Maintenance - Mechanical Journeyman (Manufacturing)

Location: Whiting, Wisconsin, United States. Onsite manufacturing role with rotating weekend work, holidays, overtime, and possible off-shift call-ins.

Starting pay: $43.16/hour. Sunday and contractual holiday work is paid at double time under the CBA.

What you will do

• Maintain manufacturing and converting processes to support equipment reliability and uptime.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, installation, rebuilding, repairs, and equipment troubleshooting.
• Support paper machines, folios, embossers, roll-wrap and cutsize equipment, and shared mill systems.
• Respond to service calls and call-ins to support continuous production operations.
• Prepare tools, parts, and supplies; complete service records; and recommend equipment modifications or component replacements.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, pump, control, and general mechanical systems using mechanical drawings and technical manuals.

Requirements

• Journeyman card and/or state license.
• Technical and problem-solving skills, machine-shop knowledge, and ability to use hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in manufacturing conditions involving dust, odors, varying temperatures, mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards.
• Ability to work around moving equipment, in confined spaces, on ladders and elevated platforms, and during shifts of up to 16 hours.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push up to 108 pounds, and pull up to 60 pounds.
• Pre-employment physical capabilities test, drug/alcohol screening, background check, and required Powered Industrial Truck certification are required.

Nice to have

• Four years of relevant experience.
• Pipefitting experience or certification.
• Advanced electrical or instrumentation education and industrial experience.
