Distribution Manager

Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 100,600–125,700 per year, plus eligibility for corporate bonus programs.

What you will do

• Oversee third-party logistics providers and distribution operations, ensuring products are picked, packaged, and delivered on time.
• Manage transportation tendering, controls, approvals, and direct-to-consumer ecommerce shipping through third-party and company-operated distribution centres.
• Administer interprovincial and international road and rail shipping, including government legislative compliance.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for finished goods and packaging-material distribution processes.
• Monitor freight, fuel, operating expenditure, and supply-chain performance metrics; maintain reports, documentation, customer service logs, training records, and safety records.
• Manage multiple facilities in Canada, distribution-centre contracts, operating budgets, and the development of logistics teams.

Requirements

• Postsecondary degree in engineering, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least five years of leadership experience managing logistics and distribution professionals.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, planning, organization, teamwork, judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals and distribution partners.

Nice to have

• Ability to communicate in French in addition to English.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean practices.
