Civil Estimator (Heavy Civil)

Location: Lomira, WI or Milwaukee, WI, United States. Travel as needed.

What you will do

• Evaluate bid specifications, drawings, and project requirements for heavy civil work.
• Estimate mass excavation, building excavation, underground utilities, paving, and hardscape scopes.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and solicit material and subcontractor quotes.
• Coordinate all inputs required to prepare accurate, competitive bids.
• Work with Project Management teams to follow up on bids and budgets and support business closing.
• Produce accurate work independently and meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality and safety.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a related field or 3+ years of experience in heavy civil work.
• Experience estimating heavy civil projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Negotiation experience.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of estimating and scheduling software such as P6 and HCSS Heavy Bid.
