Estimator, Dredging & Marine (Marine Construction)

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States; approximately 25% travel required for jobsite visits, pre-bid meetings, and pre-construction meetings.

What you will do

• Evaluate bid specifications and project drawings.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and support pre-construction planning.
• Solicit material and subcontractor quotes.
• Prepare accurate, timely bids for dredging and marine construction projects.
• Work with Project Management teams to follow up on bids and budgets and close business.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or an equivalent four-year degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in heavy civil construction, marine construction, or dredging estimating.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of estimating and scheduling software, including HCSS or B2W.
• Negotiation experience and the ability to work independently while producing highly accurate work.
• Valid driver’s license for the vehicles driven and an acceptable driving record.
