Quality Control Manager (Federal Construction)

Location: Lomira, Wisconsin, United States; projects require 6 weeks on and 1 week off rotations.

What you will do

• Manage quality requirements for civil and structural construction projects.
• Prepare daily quality control reports and performance documents covering rework costs, submittals, defects, and non-conformance reports.
• Coordinate subcontractors, project managers, superintendents, clients, testing personnel, equipment, and laboratory compliance.
• Lead quality phase meetings, document minutes, and conduct frequent field quality control inspections.
• Review contracts, specifications, drawings, addenda, plans, and deliverables to ensure project compliance.
• Initiate, communicate, track, and disposition corrective actions while promoting safety and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or construction science with at least 2 years of relevant construction experience, or at least 5 years of relevant construction experience.
• Ability to work 6 weeks on and 1 week off rotations for projects.
• At least 1 year of experience with the Three Phases of Control Quality Management System used by USACE and other federal agencies.
• Experience with submittal management, contract drawings, specifications, testing procedures, and quality documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and related Microsoft tools.

Nice to have

• USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management for Contractors training certification.
• American Society for Quality certification as Quality Auditor or Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence.
• Experience with USACE Resident Management System 3.0 or NAVFAC ECMS.
