Salary: $70,000–$110,000 USD per year, plus an annual bonus or role-based sales incentive plan.

What you will do

  • Design and program electrical controls for custom assembly applications, including hardware specifications, integration, bills of materials, and schematics.
  • Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment in collaboration with maintenance and engineering personnel.
  • Apply machine safety and wiring standards, update design specifications, and modify existing equipment.
  • Support new product development, assembly and testing solutions, and automated manufacturing initiatives.
  • Implement and improve automation technologies including robotics, vision systems, advanced motion control, and shop-floor data applications.
  • Collaborate with integrators, machine builders, engineering teams, manufacturing, operations, and IT on design reviews, strategic projects, and capital expenditure requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • At least two years of experience in controls design, panel construction, and PLC programming in a high-volume assembly environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of automated and semi-automated equipment, including robotics, motion control, vision systems, sensors, and variable frequency drives.
  • Functional knowledge of machine safety, wiring standards, and relevant code requirements.
  • Functional knowledge of network architecture and infrastructure.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
