Business / Data Analyst (PLM)

Location: Lexington, MA, United States; must live within 100 miles of Lexington and work onsite 2 days per week. The team is typically onsite together on Wednesdays. US citizenship and eligibility to obtain an active Secret Clearance are required; an interim clearance is sufficient to start.

What you will do

• Partner with engineers, researchers, and technical stakeholders to analyze engineering workflows, information needs, and improvement opportunities.
• Analyze PLM and related enterprise systems, including product data, lifecycle states, configurations, integrations, and data exchanges with ERP, MES, and engineering applications.
• Translate complex engineering needs into functional requirements, user stories, workflows, use cases, acceptance criteria, data definitions, and testable system behavior.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, QA professionals, product owners, and end users throughout solution design, development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
• Support platform configuration, testing, troubleshooting, validation, defect analysis, prototyping, and workflow or data modeling.
• Recommend improvements to engineering collaboration, traceability, data quality, usability, and decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years supporting PLM platforms and experience with product data, engineering data, configuration management, technical document management, or product development applications.
• 7 years of experience in data analysis, model and measurement data analysis, systems analysis, software documentation, requirements review, and translating business requirements into technical specifications.
• Experience working directly with engineers, researchers, scientists, or technical subject-matter experts.
• Experience with Agile or iterative software development, SDLC, configurable enterprise platforms, workflows, data models, integrations, and system interfaces.
• Must be a US citizen, live within 100 miles of Lexington, MA, work onsite 2 days per week, and be eligible to obtain an active Secret Clearance.

Nice to have

• Aras Innovator, Digital Engineering, Digital Thread, MBSE, systems engineering, or engineering data management experience.
• SAP or ERP integration experience, including SAP ERP Purchasing.
• SQL and enterprise data analysis experience.
• Familiarity with APIs, REST, XML, JSON, web services, prototyping, root-cause analysis, workflow modeling, or data modeling.
