Product Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Must be based in the United States; regular domestic travel to customer sites and production facilities is required. This is a field-embedded, onsite role and is not remote.

What you will do

• Manage high-impact manufacturing deployments from presales through production and own measurable customer outcomes.
• Build relationships across customer organizations, from C-suite stakeholders to planners and production supervisors.
• Gather, workshop, challenge, and agree on end-to-end requirements to ensure the right solutions are developed.
• Configure RELEX, build plugins and Python components, and develop integrations in live customer environments.
• Work with central engineering to improve the core product when configuration or custom solutions are insufficient.
• Own solution performance, customer KPIs, and SLAs until the deployment delivers measurable results.

Requirements

• Strong Python and SQL skills, with sound data modelling experience across complex, multi-site data.
• Knowledge of heuristics and constrained optimization, including the ability to analyze solver output and improve planning results.
• Machine learning literacy sufficient to diagnose production forecasting issues and explain them clearly to customers.
• Fluency with AI tools and interest in driving their adoption across a delivery organization.
• Strong business acumen, ownership, ambiguity management, and the ability to connect technical work with financial impact.
• Manufacturing, supply chain, or complex industrial operations experience, plus direct experience with US enterprise or mid-market customers in a technical or solutions role.
