Quality Engineer (Advanced Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Implement a Quality Management System for the Cell Production Team, including supplier feedback, engineering feedback, incoming inspection, and MRB processes.
• Investigate manufacturing quality issues, lead root cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, and Supply Chain to improve product quality, manufacturability, process capability, yields, and efficiency.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation for quality compliance.
• Develop and improve quality procedures, inspection plans, work instructions, and verification activities.
• Perform First Article Inspections, in-process inspections, final product verification, internal audits, and supplier and customer audit support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Quality Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Quality.
• Experience supporting production operations in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of root cause analysis, CAPA, FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, and First Article Inspection.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, interpret GD&T, and use inspection equipment and measurement techniques.
• Comfort working hands-on in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
• Experience supporting new product introduction and process development.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or another quality certification.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with ERP, eQMS, robotics, automation, sheet metal, machining, welding, or advanced manufacturing processes.
