Program Operations Manager (Aerospace)

Location: North Kingstown, Rhode Island, USA. Relocation packages are available.

What you will do

• Design and implement the operating cadence for Seaglider programs, including program reviews, risk boards, and action and decision logs.
• Build readiness-tracking systems for Preliminary Design Review and Critical Design Review, including entry criteria, evidence, logistics, and action closure.
• Facilitate structured risk management, owned mitigations, and decision-forcing reviews.
• Implement and administer program tooling, workflows, dashboards, and documentation architecture in Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or equivalent tools.
• Publish program health dashboards and metrics that provide leadership with reliable visibility.
• Scale the operating system from the Viceroy flagship program across hirify.global's broader program portfolio.

Requirements

• Professional experience in program operations, planning and controls, or PMO roles on complex hardware development programs in aerospace, defense, marine, automotive, or a comparable industry.
• Experience creating program processes from scratch and driving adoption by engineering teams.
• Direct experience supporting PDR, CDR, or equivalent design gates, including readiness tracking, review logistics, and action closure.
• Hands-on ability to build workflows and dashboards in Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar tools without relying on an IT department.
• Demonstrated systems for converging actions, decisions, and risks, together with sound judgment about when process adds value.
• Collaborative, creative, adaptable, and improvement-oriented approach to program operations.
