Senior Program Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Melbourne, Florida, United States; on-site. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or otherwise eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

What you will do

• Lead program performance and day-to-day execution from concept development through implementation, production, integration, testing, and delivery.
• Serve as the primary customer contact for program management reviews, bi-weekly reviews, and major program reviews.
• Coordinate cross-functional organizations and apply risk and opportunity management to meet program objectives.
• Own program cost, schedule, technical performance, baselines, integrated master plans, and resource-loaded schedules.
• Measure program performance, prepare revised estimates and estimates to completion, and provide inputs to customers, leadership, and finance.
• Support standardization across the program portfolio, hiring and mentoring program engineers, and development of a program management office.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of program management or subcontract management experience.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant engineering field, such as electrical, mechanical, or systems engineering.
• Experience in the aerospace industry as a systems or design engineer.
• Familiarity with RF, communication, or satellite systems and experience managing cross-functional, decentralized teams.
• Experience with CAM, risk management, EVMS, risk-based assessment, work breakdown structures, integrated master plans, and integrated master schedules.
• Experience managing dynamic programs with multiple project interdependencies, return-to-green actions, and NRE development programs.

Nice to have

• Experience working with government or military customers.
• Experience with the DoD Acquisition Process.
• Program Manager certification.
