Electrical Engineering Manager (Retail Sector)

Location: Onsite positions based in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Plano/Dallas, Lenexa, New York City, or Kansas City, United States. The role includes visits to job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $126,000–$219,600 annually, depending on location and geographic cost-of-labor factors.

What you will do

• Lead, manage, mentor, and develop a team of electrical engineers and designers.
• Oversee design projects from concept through completion, including schedules, staffing, budgets, coordination, quality reviews, and delivery.
• Direct the preparation and review of design documents, system layouts, drawings, schematics, specifications, shop drawings, reports, and analyses.
• Develop solutions for complex engineering and building-system challenges and advise project teams on systems and equipment.
• Coordinate requirements with clients, architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Visit job sites, resolve construction and design conflicts, and support professional engineering and Engineer of Record responsibilities where applicable.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of relevant progressive engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
• Expert knowledge of engineering design, A&E practices, applicable codes, design guides, and standards.
• Working knowledge of Revit, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Office, engineering design software, contracts, construction processes, and earned value.
• Strong leadership, communication, critical-thinking, problem-solving, mentoring, and collaboration skills.
• Professional Engineering license and Engineer of Record experience are preferred; US work authorization is required.
