Test Engineer II (Materials Testing)

Location: Marietta office, Marietta, Georgia 30062, United States. U.S. Persons only due to ITAR-controlled information; eligible candidates must be U.S. citizens or nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees in the United States.

What you will do

• Plan and independently execute load, hydrostatic pressure, lifecycle, and other test programs.
• Interpret requirements and develop test methods, procedures, techniques, and specifications.
• Develop and troubleshoot custom test scripts and automated data-acquisition routines.
• Design, build, and validate custom test rigs and fixtures.
• Analyze results, identify anomalies, and communicate technical findings to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare technical reports, coordinate project resources, support equipment readiness, and provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant technical experience.
• 2–5 years of relevant engineering or testing experience, including custom mechanical, pressure, lifecycle, or load testing.
• Ability to interpret requirements, select test methods, independently execute test programs, troubleshoot issues, and make technical recommendations.
• Hands-on proficiency with testing tools, machinery, instrumentation, equipment, and materials.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for discussing requirements, status, risks, and technical results with customers.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more and to configure, verify, and troubleshoot test equipment.

Nice to have

• Experience with programming, data acquisition, and data analysis tools.
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
