Engineering Technician III (Instrumentation)

Location: Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Alabama, United States; onsite

Salary: $45,000–$65,000 per year

What you will do

• Support Test Engineers with engineering and testing activities for military hardware.
• Fabricate and machine parts for test support.
• Collect infrared data and support testing involving UAS/CUAS, target vehicles, aircraft survivability equipment, sensors, lasers, radar, force protection systems, and integrated base defense.
• Assist with instrumentation during test setup, execution, and teardown.
• Help develop requirements, procedures, and specialized test methods.
• Maintain equipment and support inventory management.

Requirements

• At least five years of applicable experience supporting engineering, design, or hardware testing; alternatively, two years of applicable college, vocational, military, or technical education plus three years of relevant experience.
• For instrumentation work, completion of 16 weeks of civilian or military training in electronics or basic instrumentation techniques.
• At least two years of experience in electronics or instrumentation supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.
• Secret security clearance required.
• Ability to travel as needed.
