Director, Technology (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; not available for hire or work in Colorado, New Mexico, or Hawaii.

Salary: $163,000–$200,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Build client relationships, understand technology needs, and recommend solutions that support business objectives.
• Develop and execute technology strategy while driving innovation across the technology practice.
• Oversee the assessment, planning, delivery, quality, budget, timelines, security, and compliance of complex technology projects.
• Lead business development with account leadership and support organic growth across client accounts.
• Guide engineering teams and collaborate with creative and cross-discipline partners to create impactful digital experiences.
• Develop technical standards, methodologies, learning initiatives, and professional growth across the engineering community.

Requirements

• Leadership experience building, scaling, and mentoring engineering teams of 10 or more developers.
• Experience managing complex projects, multiple workstreams, distributed onshore and offshore teams, and multi-vendor deliveries.
• Expertise in modern architecture, microservices, cloud infrastructure including AWS, GCP, and Vercel, and multidisciplinary SDLC governance.
• Experience leading full-stack web and mobile teams using React Native, iOS, and Android.
• Experience with autonomous multi-agent systems, AI coding tools, APIs, evaluation frameworks, and advanced data solutions.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, Auth0, content access control, e-commerce security, payment flows, and third-party API integrations.

• Mobile commerce and native payments experience.
• Experience with globally distributed teams.
• Experience with Jamstack, MACH, CMS, DAM, and CDN platforms.
