Senior Communications Manager (Corporate Communications)

Location: Hybrid role based at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, Massachusetts, United States. Tuesday–Thursday are in-office; Monday and Friday are remote. Regular travel to BJ's locations and company events is required, with approximately 30–40% travel anticipated.

Salary: $128,500–$164,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and execute internal communications plans covering strategic priorities, purpose and key business initiatives.
• Own the editorial strategy and content calendar, creating a consistent rhythm of engaging organizational content.
• Find and develop stories from clubs, distribution centers and corporate teams, including opportunities for external amplification.
• Partner with senior leaders to create executive messaging, presentations and communications.
• Develop communications and programming for the annual Operations Leadership Conference, quarterly town halls and executive meetings.
• Coordinate communications initiatives from planning through execution, including stakeholders, timelines and follow-through.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, journalism, public relations or a related field.
• Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills, including the ability to translate complex business information into clear communications.
• Experience developing communications and editorial strategies and managing initiatives from concept through execution.
• Strong presence and experience supporting senior leaders, executive meetings, town halls or other large-scale team communications.
• Strong relationship-building, organizational and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work in the Marlborough support center Tuesday–Thursday and travel regularly, with approximately 30–40% travel anticipated.

Nice to have

• Experience with issues and crisis communications.
• Light design skills using PowerPoint and Canva.
• Video storytelling, storyboarding or editing experience.
• Professional writing, storytelling and copyediting samples.
