Senior Internal Communications Specialist

Location: Hybrid role based in Winchester, Virginia, United States; Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Salary: $96,900–$124,200 annually.

What you will do

• Lead the planning, development, and execution of internal communications aligned with business priorities and employee engagement goals.
• Develop communication strategies, messaging frameworks, and executive communications for major initiatives and organizational change.
• Create and deliver content across internal channels, including intranet, email, and digital signage.
• Partner with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to advise on messaging, engagement, and organizational alignment.
• Manage communication campaigns, project plans, timelines, content workflows, and measurable outcomes.
• Analyze communication metrics and employee feedback, recommend improvements, and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in communications or a related field.
• Strong storytelling and messaging skills for diverse employee audiences.
• Experience with change management, organizational initiatives, stakeholder management, and executive communication support.
• Ability to analyze communication effectiveness using metrics and feedback.
• Ability to work independently on complex communication projects and provide editorial guidance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
