TL;DR
Manufacturing Engineer I (A220) - 2nd Shift (Aerospace): Providing technical support for A220 final assembly, validating manufacturing documentation and tooling, and resolving production nonconformities with an accent on aerospace processes, aircraft configuration, and shop-floor support. Focus on troubleshooting assembly issues, creating rework orders, supporting MES and continuous improvement, and coordinating solutions across multifunctional production teams.

Location: Mobile Area, Alabama, United States; 100% onsite, 2nd shift

hirify.global manufactures commercial aircraft at its U.S. facility in Mobile, including the A320 Family and A220 aircraft.

What you will do

  • Provide technical support to production during A220 final assembly.
  • Validate and update workbooks, BOIs, RNCs, part configurations, and other technical manufacturing content.
  • Support tooling, troubleshoot production issues, and create rework orders.
  • Lead troubleshooting meetings and coordinate nonconformity resolution with operations and multifunctional teams.
  • Support MES issues, project roadmaps, PPS actions, and continuous improvement measures.
  • Analyze current status, prepare reports, conduct independent research, and recommend appropriate processes and methods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 0–2 years of experience in aerospace, preferably on an aerospace final assembly line.
  • Knowledge of aerospace processes, manufacturing methods, aircraft structures, systems, electrical or cabin installations, and aircraft design and manufacturing rules.
  • Knowledge of SAP, CATIA, and ENOVIA; familiarity with the American aviation market and health, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and intercultural experience.
  • Current U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

  • Airframe and Powerplant Certification.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability for internal candidates.
