TL;DR

What you will do

  • Conduct manufacturability reviews of engineering designs, drawings, specifications, TDPs, and proposed changes.
  • Serve as the Operations liaison to Design Engineering throughout design, development, and engineering change processes.
  • Identify and implement improvements that reduce production complexity, cost, and cycle time.
  • Support DFM/DFA practices, manufacturing processes, work methods, tooling, and process controls.
  • Investigate production issues and nonconformances, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective actions.
  • Provide technical support to Production and participate in MRB activities to minimize disruptions and improve product quality.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline, with relevant experience; equivalent manufacturing experience may be considered.
  • At least 2 years of experience with an engineering degree, 5 years with an associate degree, or 15 years with a high school diploma.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, DFM/DFA, process improvement, engineering documentation, and quality principles.
  • Experience with root cause analysis, corrective action development, nonconformance resolution, or MRB activities.
  • Ability to collaborate across Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Production Control, Supply Chain, and Management.
  • Must be able to obtain a government security clearance.

Nice to have

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with military, aerospace, industry, and customer-specific engineering and quality standards.
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint, TIPSFE, ERP, or MES software.
