TL;DR
Lead Mechanical Engineer (Electromechanical Packaging): Designing and developing robust enclosures, components, and assemblies for new products with an accent on simulation-driven design, thermal management, and manufacturability. Salary: $115,300–$170,400 annually

What you will do

  • Collaborate on system specifications for new products and define long-term product and process strategies.
  • Analyze, design, and develop robust enclosures, components, and assemblies.
  • Perform tolerance studies, computer simulations, and verification activities to ensure product quality.
  • Lead design reviews and prepare analysis and test plans, execute testing, and correlate results with analysis.
  • Maintain project notebooks, product documentation, bills of material, and project plans.
  • Lead mechanical projects and coordinate engineering activities with purchasing and manufacturing while mentoring engineers and technicians.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 6+ years of combined experience in electromechanical packaging design, computer-aided design, electronic manufacturing techniques, and heat transfer or electronics cooling.
  • Experience with simulation and tool-driven design and verification methods, including FEA, CFD, or ANSYS.
  • Strong knowledge of project management processes and procedures.
  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related experience.
  • Knowledge of industrial plastics, tool design, thermal modeling, or IEC regulatory standards.
  • Leadership experience or training.
