Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Location: Orlando, Florida, United States; regular attendance is required.

Pay range: $73,200.00–$117,800.00 per year across U.S. locations.

What you will do

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for heavy-duty vehicles.
• Support sustaining engineering through product improvements, redesigns, production support, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform engineering calculations and analysis for component selection, materials, system performance, safety, durability, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
• Manage engineering projects, conduct design reviews, and prepare layouts, drawings, specifications, engineering changes, bills of material, reports, and presentations.
• Troubleshoot production and manufacturing issues and implement practical design solutions.
• Collaborate with electrical, hydraulic, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, supplier, and cross-functional teams while guiding designers, technicians, and entry-level engineers.

Requirements

• Accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Three or more years of related experience.
• Experience with mechanical design for heavy-duty, off-highway, construction, agricultural, or similar mobile equipment.
• Experience with sheet metal assemblies, weldments, fabricated structures, testing, troubleshooting, and design validation.
• Understanding of hydraulic systems and basic electrical integration.
• Experience with 3D CAD and engineering tools such as Siemens NX, SolidWorks, Teamcenter, FEA, and GD&T.
