Mechanical Engineer

Location: Pullman, Washington, United States; onsite position

Salary: $97,740–$144,460 per year

What you will do

• Perform assembly design and design plastic and metal parts under the direction of senior mechanical engineers.
• Conduct tolerance studies, component selection, thermal analysis, and mechanical shock and vibration analysis.
• Apply design for manufacturability and assembly principles and support manufacturing process design.
• Qualify and monitor component and custom-part vendors.
• Generate bills of materials and prepare labor and material estimates under supervision.
• Write test plans, conduct design tests, review results, and maintain project notebooks.

Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
• Education or experience in heat transfer, computer-aided design, materials and mechanics, and part and assembly design.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Pullman, Washington.

Nice to have

• Education or experience in electromechanical packaging design.
• Experience with electronic manufacturing techniques.
• SolidWorks experience.
• Environmental testing experience.
