What you will do
- Lead and develop a team of three procurement professionals across the Americas.
- Execute global sourcing strategies in line with regional business and manufacturing requirements.
- Drive initiatives for cost reduction, supply resilience, working capital improvement, and business performance.
- Lead complex supplier negotiations and develop long-term supply agreements.
- Analyze market intelligence, supplier performance, spend data, and supply risks.
- Manage supplier relationships and support manufacturing sites with critical supply, quality, and contractual issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, engineering, supply chain, business, finance, or a related discipline.
- At least 8 years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, supply chain, or a related commercial role.
- Direct experience procuring raw materials within specialty chemicals or advanced materials.
- Experience leading people through performance management, coaching, and team development.
- Experience with strategic sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management.
- Unrestricted right to work for in the United States is required.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of chemical raw materials, feedstocks, manufacturing requirements, and Americas chemical and energy markets.
- Experience with portfolio optimization, supplier consolidation, specification changes, alternative material qualification, or complexity reduction.
- Experience with SAP, Power BI, advanced analytics, or procurement performance management tools.
- Professional procurement certification such as CPSM or CPM.
