TL;DR
Data Center Technician - Day (Critical Infrastructure): Maintaining and monitoring critical data center infrastructure, supporting colocation customers, and troubleshooting equipment in a 24/7/365 facility with an accent on alarm response, facility inspections, customer support, and physical security. Focus on investigating infrastructure alerts, executing rack-and-stack and cross-connect tasks, managing maintenance windows, and maintaining operational logs.
Location: Saint Louis, MO, United States; onsite work in a 24/7/365 data center facility

owns and operates strategic interconnection properties, including data centers, Meet Me Rooms, and wholesale data center space across six metropolitan markets.
What you will do
- Monitor critical facilities systems and respond to alarms through established escalation procedures.
- Support local and international colocation customers with fiber and copper cross-connects, equipment troubleshooting, Remote Hands, access requests, and service tickets.
- Perform hourly facility walkthroughs, collect electrical and mechanical equipment readings, and monitor overall site conditions.
- Execute sales orders, prepare customer environments, perform rack-and-stack work, and assist with interconnection circuit orders.
- Monitor physical security systems, escort authorized personnel, manage deliveries, and support planned outages and maintenance windows.
- Maintain detailed logs of events, anomalies, inventory, and work tickets while coordinating with customers, contractors, tenants, and colleagues.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- At least 2 years of data center experience or experience in a closely related technical field.
- At least 2 years of customer service experience.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, multitasking, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage priorities, meet deadlines, and work cross-functionally.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite; commitment to safety procedures, emergency procedures, company guidelines, and professional integrity.
Nice to have
- Industry-related certifications or an associate degree in a technical field.
- Fundamental knowledge of data center cooling and power infrastructure.
