Data Center Technician - Day/Weekends (Data Center Operations)

What you will do

• Monitor critical facilities systems and respond to alarms, notifications, and escalation procedures.
• Provide physical and remote support for colocation customers, including fiber and copper cross-connects and equipment troubleshooting.
• Monitor web-based customer support tickets covering access requests, Remote Hand services, orders, deliveries, and general support.
• Perform hourly facility walkthroughs, collect readings from critical electrical and mechanical equipment, and monitor site conditions.
• Support rack-and-stack work, equipment handling, repairs, interconnection circuit orders, maintenance windows, and facility preparations.
• Manage package deliveries, visitor access, security monitoring, event logs, inventory, and work tickets.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• At least two years of data center experience or experience in a closely related technical field.
• At least two years of customer service experience.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, multitasking, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage priorities, meet hard deadlines, and work cross-functionally.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite, plus adherence to safety, emergency, security, and company procedures.

Nice to have

• Industry-related certifications or an associate degree or higher in a technical field.
• Fundamental knowledge of data center cooling and power infrastructure.
