Operations Technician I (Data Center)

What you will do

• Manage site security activities, including visitor access, badge processing, reconciliation, and access-control enrollment.
• Process site access, shipping, and receiving cases in NetSuite, maintaining chain-of-custody records for deliveries.
• Monitor customer ticket queues and BMS/NMS alerts, acknowledge requests, and create cases for critical alarms.
• Provide hands-on assistance with service-order installations, network circuit troubleshooting, cabinets, racks, fiber trays, and cross-connects.
• Perform remote-hands services, including hardware installation, cable management, power-strip and rail installation, and equipment reboots.
• Respond to escalations and emergencies while maintaining accurate ticketing records, shift reports, notifications, and facility documentation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of experience in security operations, data center operations, and customer service.
• Knowledge of security-system hardware and software, data center monitoring applications, help desk tools, and critical operations infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability and willingness to learn additional responsibilities.
• Ability to remain stationary for prolonged periods, move throughout office, data center, and outdoor facility areas, perform kneeling and bending, and occasionally lift or move objects weighing up to 65 pounds.
