Controls Technician (HVAC)

Location: Moon Township, Pennsylvania, United States. Field-based role requiring on-site work at customer locations, regular travel, overtime, and occasional overnight stays.

Hourly base pay: $18.09–$44.31.

What you will do

• Install building automation and temperature control systems, including conduit, enclosures, wiring, and end devices.
• Interpret control drawings, plans, and specifications and coordinate installation activities with other trades.
• Service, diagnose, analyze, and repair control equipment and systems at customer locations.
• Prepare job materials, maintain inventory, tools, vehicles, and company equipment.
• Complete daily time, progress, service, and maintenance documentation.
• Maintain safety, security, asset accountability, and customer satisfaction standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required, with typically 2–5 years of HVAC or controls experience.
• Knowledge of low-voltage electricity, board-level electronics troubleshooting, direct digital controls, and building control techniques.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld computers such as smartphones or iPads.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months, with an acceptable driving record required.
• Previous experience with DDC control systems is preferred.
• Technical school or formal training is preferred; participation in an ABC electrical apprenticeship program is desired.
