Maintenance Technician - Temporary

Location: West Edge, Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States. The role is performed at the assigned property, may require periodic travel, and includes on-call coverage outside approved PTO periods.

Salary: $20–$25 USD per hour, plus bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Respond to maintenance and repair requests and complete service requests promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance, routine repairs, apartment turnover preparation, and physical property upkeep.
• Monitor, diagnose, and test major building and life-safety systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, pumps, emergency lighting, and detectors.
• Maintain key management and security protocols, including unlocking apartments and escorting vendors.
• Coordinate vendor deliveries, contractor schedules, maintenance objectives, and daily assignments.
• Support emergency and disaster preparedness planning and maintain compliance with OSHA and operating procedures.

Requirements

• High school/GED or trade school diploma, plus 3–5 years of full-time general maintenance experience or equivalent experience.
• HVAC certification and EPA 608 certification covering Core and Types I, II, and III.
• Certified Pool Operator certification, or willingness to obtain it within six months.
• Knowledge of key management, security, safety procedures, and basic computer operations, including Entrata, CMMS, building automation, and digital control systems.
• Valid driver’s license, clear communication skills, punctuality, dependability, and flexibility for after-hours and weekend emergencies.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available. Ability to stand for at least eight hours and lift up to 100 lbs. is required.
