Software System Test Engineer (Embedded)

Location: Aurora, CO; Huntsville, AL; Arlington, VA; or Bedminster, NJ. U.S. Citizenship is required.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain automated and manual test frameworks for embedded software.
• Define test requirements and strategies with software and hardware engineering teams.
• Perform integration, regression, and performance testing across multiple platforms and environments.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes, and drive issue resolution with development teams.
• Document test plans, procedures, and results for internal and customer deliverables.
• Validate software deliverables and support release management and quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5–7 years of professional experience in software or system testing, preferably with embedded systems.
• Strong experience developing and executing system test cases for embedded software.
• Experience with Linux-based embedded systems, network communication testing, IP networking, and protocol debugging.
• Proficiency in Python or Bash test automation, Git source control, and CI workflows.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with automated builds, test execution, artifact management, and deployment pipelines.
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop and system integration testing.
• Experience testing radar, SIGINT, electronic warfare, autopilot, PNT/guidance, or unmanned systems.
• Experience with RF signal chain testing, including mixing, filtering, and up/down conversion.
