Embedded SQA Engineer (Embedded Systems)

Location: Westford, United States; permanent, onsite work in a hardware lab/system test environment.

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test frameworks and test cases using Python, JavaScript, or other suitable technologies.
• Perform manual and automated testing of software builds, embedded controllers, applications, and product features throughout the full test cycle.
• Develop UI, regression, integration, non-UI, repetitive, and end-to-end automated tests.
• Investigate failed tests and defects by reviewing logs, reproducing issues, troubleshooting software, hardware, and network layers, and verifying fixes.
• Collaborate with software developers, hardware engineers, and systems teams to analyze requirements and improve product quality.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, Agile practices, test planning, documentation, and continuous improvement of QA processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Mid-level experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python or JavaScript for test automation; C# or Java may also be considered depending on the automation background.
• Experience designing, maintaining, and executing automated testing frameworks, together with strong manual testing and software quality knowledge.
• Experience with embedded systems, hardware/software integration, Windows desktop applications, or network communications; TCP/IP knowledge is an asset.
• Ability to work effectively in a hardware lab/system test environment and communicate technical findings in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with TestComplete or other UI automation tools.
• Experience with TCP/IP communications.
