Quality Engineer (Aerospace/Defense)

Location: On-site in Clarkston, Georgia, United States

Salary: $98,964–$120,957 annually, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Lead quality and continuous improvement efforts for ceramic components supplied to aerospace and defense customers.
• Implement quality-system activities, including internal audits, incoming quality checks, Lean Six Sigma, supplier development, CAPA, and root-cause analysis.
• Determine product acceptance against customer technical data package requirements.
• Support production shipment targets through efficient quality-documentation processing and product evaluation.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, suppliers, customers, and administrative groups, including on-call support when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline.
• At least three years of quality and/or manufacturing experience in an engineering role.
• Experience with customer relationships, cross-functional collaboration, verbal communication, report writing, visual inspection, and basic statistical analysis.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
• U.S. person status may be assessed because the role can involve access to export-controlled information and technologies.

Nice to have

• Degree in Ceramic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in aerospace or defense, AS9100, ceramic processing, precision grinding, CMM, or ISO 14000.
• Direct manufacturing production or production-support experience.
• Experience with Minitab.
