Civil Engineer - Land Development / Municipal

Location: Omaha, Nebraska, United States; in-office collaboration and travel for meetings, client consultations, site visits, and construction observation may be required. Candidates must reside in an eligible U.S. state or be willing to relocate.

Base compensation: $65,000–$75,000 annually, based on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Support the planning, design, and delivery of transportation, municipal, and site development projects.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to design roadways, trails, sidewalks, utility systems, and site improvements.
• Prepare construction plans, specifications, quantity calculations, cost estimates, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Conduct site visits, field reviews, and construction observation activities as needed.
• Manage assigned project tasks and communicate progress to project teams and supervisors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• EIT certification or the ability to obtain it within a reasonable timeframe.
• Ability to collaborate in an office environment and travel as needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, construction plans, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates is preferred.
• Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Previous civil engineering, design, or construction experience.
• Ability to interpret engineering plans, specifications, and topographic maps.
• Experience coordinating with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
