Sr Controls Technician (HVAC)

Location: Moon Township, Pennsylvania, United States; field-based work conducted on-site at customer locations

What you will do

• Commission, program, configure graphics and communications links, test, troubleshoot, and service assigned HVAC controls projects.
• Document point-to-point verification, sequence-of-operations validation, and project closeout requirements.
• Serve as the direct customer contact while diagnosing and repairing equipment and control systems at customer locations.
• Coordinate with the team leader and customers on installation and repair requirements, building layouts, materials, and on-site scheduling.
• Maintain current knowledge of Trane products, including installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of direct digital control systems.
• Follow strict safety and asset-accountability procedures and remain available for overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or an accredited technical-school certificate.
• Typically, at least 7 years of HVAC or controls experience; formal technical training is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld devices such as smartphones or iPads.
• Valid driver's license held for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations.
• Previous experience with direct digital control systems is preferred.
• Ability to work safely at customer sites, including rooftops, ladders, heights, confined areas, mechanical equipment, electrical hazards, and variable weather conditions.
