TL;DR
Business Operations Manager (Aerospace): Designing growth strategy and managing operational performance for an Airbus aerospace facility with an accent on lean methodology, SQCDP performance, and data-driven financial management. Focus on mitigating supply-chain and operational risks, planning production-rate readiness, and managing CAPEX, NRC, NPO, and indirect payroll budgets.

Location: Belfast, United Kingdom; occasional travel required. The role requires eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance or completion of BPSS and Export Control checks, including a criminal record check.

Salary: Competitive salary; annual profit share and other financial benefits are also offered.

What you will do

  • Design and implement growth strategy using lean methodology and data-driven financial management.
  • Integrate shop-floor operations with corporate support functions and execute change-management plans.
  • Use ARM and Tactical Implementation Plans to identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.
  • Manage the Business Management System and monitor Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People performance.
  • Plan rate readiness so the airframe value stream can meet future build demands and increased production rates.
  • Manage delegated budget authority across CAPEX, NRC, NPO, and indirect payroll while aligning recruitment and training with business needs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering and implementing projects and managing operational performance.
  • Experience with business management systems covering SQCDP areas.
  • Financial planning and budget-management experience, including CAPEX, NRC, NPO, and indirect payroll.
  • Strong communication, conflict-resolution, leadership, and stakeholder-influence skills.
  • Customer-focused approach and ability to drive performance through challenging targets.
  • English proficiency sufficient to perform the duties effectively; UK security and export-control checks are required.

Nice to have

  • Leadership experience within the organization.
  • Experience resolving cross-functional issues across Engineering, Supply Chain, and support functions.
  • Hands-on experience with ARM and Tactical Implementation Plans.
  • Experience with workforce and rate-readiness planning, recruitment, and personnel development.
