Senior Electronic Trading Support Specialist – Financial Platforms (Fintech)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; hybrid work with up to 3 remote days per week. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 functional support for electronic trading platforms, including OMS and EMS systems.
• Investigate and resolve incidents involving order creation, routing, execution, modification, cancellation, and electronic execution workflows.
• Act as a functional point of contact for traders, trading support, and operations teams.
• Perform root cause analysis and coordinate resolutions with IT teams and external vendors.
• Monitor trading activity during market hours and support time-critical production incidents.
• Support platform upgrades, patches, configuration changes, functional testing, UAT, documentation, runbooks, and procedures.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience supporting electronic trading platforms in support or operational roles.
• Strong understanding of electronic trading workflows and order lifecycles.
• Hands-on experience in front-office or trading environments.
• Knowledge of financial instruments such as equities, fixed income, derivatives, or FX.
• Experience in time-critical production trading environments, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English at least at B2 level and an existing legal right to work in the European Union are required.

Nice to have

• Certification or experience in financial market support or related areas.
• Knowledge of specific trading systems or vendor solutions.
