Application Support (Java)

Location: Hybrid in Lisbon, Portugal, 2–3 days per week; candidates must be based in Portugal and hold Portuguese or EU citizenship or a valid work permit.

What you will do

• Administer and performance-tune Java application servers, with a focus on RedHat JBoss EAP.
• Analyze heap dumps and thread dumps to diagnose and resolve production issues.
• Troubleshoot RHEL Linux systems and manage configurations and infrastructure automation with Ansible and Terraform.
• Implement and optimize observability using Dynatrace, Jaeger, Grafana, Prometheus, and the Elastic Stack.
• Proactively detect and resolve application performance issues.

Requirements

• 6 years of experience in application support.
• Expert-level experience administering and tuning Java application servers, especially RedHat JBoss EAP.
• Deep operational knowledge of RHEL Linux and infrastructure automation with Ansible and/or Terraform.
• Expertise with Dynatrace, Jaeger, Grafana, Prometheus, and the Elastic Stack.
• English and Portuguese at C1 level or higher.
• Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid work permit for Portugal.
