Senior Technical Project Manager, Software (Aerospace)

Location: Hybrid role requiring on-site work in the San Jose, CA office three days per week. Applicants must meet U.S. export-control access requirements.

Salary: $165,000–$188,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Define software program objectives, scope, milestones, roadmaps, and success criteria with engineering and product stakeholders.
• Build and maintain project schedules, track dependencies, monitor progress, and adjust plans as priorities change.
• Identify risks and blockers, coordinate mitigation plans, and drive timely resolution across teams.
• Coordinate deliverables and handoffs across software, hardware, science, and product organizations.
• Provide concise progress, risk, decision, and change updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Coordinate software release planning and readiness while improving project workflows, tools, and capacity planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5+ years of experience as a software engineer or in a similar technical role.
• 3–5+ years of experience managing or coordinating software development projects.
• Strong knowledge of software development methods, tools, and infrastructure.
• Experience with cross-functional planning, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
• Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled information under applicable ITAR/EAR requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, robotics, logistics, or other high-reliability real-time software domains.
• Experience reviewing technical documentation, architecture proposals, or requirements specifications.
• Comfort with Jira, Confluence, OKR frameworks, and distributed team environments.
