Senior Acquisition Lead (SATCOM)

Location: El Segundo, California (on-site)

Salary: $162,000–$190,000 per year

What you will do

• Advise government program managers and senior Space Force leaders on acquisition strategies, contracting, budgeting, and program execution.
• Support software and space system acquisition, including classified ACAT programs.
• Develop and coordinate documentation for Defense Acquisition Boards, source selections, and solicitation planning, including RFPs, SOWs, and CDRLs.
• Manage schedules, conduct risk assessments and business case analyses, and identify strategic solutions to execution challenges.
• Lead and mentor acquisition and systems engineering professionals.
• Prepare and deliver briefings, reports, and strategic communications to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of acquisition or program management experience in Department of Defense programs.
• Strong knowledge of DoD acquisition processes, contracting, and financial management.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including the ability to brief senior leaders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Experience managing ACAT I–III programs or serving as a source-selection advisor or evaluator.
• Experience with MILSATCOM systems such as AEHF, EPS, WGS, Tactical SATCOM, or COMSATCOM.
• Familiarity with Confluence, JIRA, and modern collaboration tools.
• DAWIA/APDP Program Management Level III, PMP, or PgMP certification.
• Experience working with military and DoD civilian clients.
