Associate Director, Financial Planning Excellence & Governance (Biopharma)

Location: Remote/Home-Based in Ireland or the United Kingdom, with international travel including to the Dublin headquarters.

What you will do

• Establish and mature the Planning Excellence capability within FP&A Operations.
• Design planning governance, operating rhythms, execution standards, accountabilities, and scalable operating models.
• Own enterprise-wide in-year budget management and rolling forecast governance, including planning cadence, freeze management, and exception governance.
• Improve forecasting methodologies, planning assumptions, driver-based planning, and alignment between actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
• Strengthen accruals, allocations, planning controls, audit readiness, and SOX-relevant governance.
• Lead finance transformation, Oracle EPM adoption, process automation, data quality improvements, and development of a team of approximately ten finance professionals.

Requirements

• Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent.
• Significant experience in FP&A, planning governance, forecasting excellence, finance operations, or finance transformation.
• Experience building or maturing planning capabilities, Centres of Excellence, finance operations, or shared services in complex global organisations.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, planning governance, driver-based planning, operating models, and financial controls.
• Leadership, stakeholder management, influencing, communication, coaching, and organisational change experience.
• Experience with financial systems including Oracle and SAP, plus willingness to travel internationally.

• Experience leading Planning Excellence, Forecasting Excellence, Planning Governance, or Finance Transformation initiatives.
• Experience driving automation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement in global finance functions.
