Location: Miami, Florida, US. Hybrid work model with an expectation of being in the office at least three days per week.

Salary: $160,000–$240,000 base salary per year, plus potential short- and long-term incentives and benefits.

What you will do

• Define the vision and strategy for the Engineering & Construction Latin America wholesale portfolio and drive profitable growth.
• Own portfolio profit and loss, apply global risk appetite, and ensure disciplined risk selection.
• Act as the technical reference for engineering and construction underwriting, monitoring emerging technologies and market trends.
• Build strategic relationships with corporate clients and brokers across Latin America.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting standards and risk-management frameworks.
• Develop new insurance solutions for evolving client needs in engineering, construction, and renewable energy.

Requirements

• University degree in civil, mechanical, chemical, or process engineering, or comparable education with a strong affinity for engineering and construction.
• At least five years of professional engineering experience, including managerial responsibilities and construction or erection supervision site experience.
• At least ten years of engineering underwriting experience with a primary insurance or reinsurance company.
• Proven experience leading and managing teams with diverse backgrounds.
• Broad network of corporate clients and brokers in Latin America.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with experience in change management and talent development.
