Regional Safety Manager - Southeast (Renewable Energy)

Location: United States — Remote; travel up to 75% across the Southeast region

Salary: $111,000–$161,500 per year, plus benefits and potential performance incentives.

What you will do

• Prepare site-specific safety plans and activity hazard analyses for assigned projects.
• Maintain compliance with safety policies, OSHA requirements, and applicable standards.
• Conduct project-site safety audits and support occupational health protection.
• Lead incident reporting, investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Review subcontractor safety qualifications and participate in pre-construction meetings.
• Develop safety improvements, conduct monthly project staff meetings, and foster a positive safety culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health engineering or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least seven years of progressively responsible EHS experience in construction, renewable energy, industrial, manufacturing, utility, or energy operations.
• Experience supporting utility-scale or commercial solar PV construction, BESS, or solar O&M activities.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety, NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout, arc flash hazard mitigation, and energized work practices.
• Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and First Aid & CPR certifications are required.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with OSHA Construction and General Industry standards.
• OSHA 510, OSHA 511, CSP, ASP, SMS, CHST, OHST, or other recognized safety certifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Procore, and other basic computer tools.
