Regional Safety Manager - Central US

Location: United States - Remote; Central US region, generally covering areas west of the Mississippi to Colorado; travel up to 75% required

Salary: $111,000–$161,500 per year, plus benefits and potential performance incentives.

What you will do

• Prepare site-specific safety plans and activity hazard analyses for assigned construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, OSHA requirements, and applicable standards.
• Develop and implement safety, health, and environmental compliance improvement plans for regional operations.
• Conduct project-site safety audits, monthly safety meetings, and inspections of PPE use and occupational health conditions.
• Lead incident reporting, investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Review subcontractor safety qualifications, attend pre-construction meetings, and collaborate with project leaders to resolve safety concerns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health engineering or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least seven years of progressively responsible EHS experience in construction, renewable energy, industrial, manufacturing, utility, or energy operations.
• Experience with utility-scale or commercial solar PV construction, BESS, and/or solar O&M activities.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety, NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout, arc-flash hazard mitigation, and energized-work practices.
• Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification and First Aid & CPR certification are required.
• A valid driver’s license in good standing and availability to travel up to 75% are required.

Nice to have

• Experience applying OSHA Construction and General Industry standards.
• OSHA 510, OSHA 511, CSP, ASP, SMS, CHST, OHST, or other recognized professional safety certifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Procore, and basic computer tools.
